I have been trying to install SAP EHP2 on a fresh Windows 2008 R2 SP1 machine but the process stops on Phase 42 of 49 "DDDIC Logon test", returning the following message:
Test logon to SAP System ODM failed.
SOLUTION: Make sure that the system is started, that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC is correct.
The SAP MMC shows that the server is running (green) so, following other tips, I tried to login using client 001 and user SAP* to verify DDIC credentials and I get a "SQL error -206 occurred while accessing program SAP".
I found the following entries in the sapinst_dev.log under C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\SCMEhP2\AS-ABAP\DB6\CENTRAL
