Delivery Split based on material's profit center

Dear all,

I have a business scenario: Delivery splits when there are different profit centers for the materials in Sales order. Delivery doc always creates with ref to Sales order. As per I know, Delivery splits only the conditions below,

1 Ship to party

2. route

3..delivery due date or delivery date

4.Shipping pt

5.Incoterms

6.Confirmed quantity date at schedule line level

7.Delivery priority

But how can I achieve delivery split in the above profit center scenario. any suggestions please.

Regards,

Reddy

As you would know Profit Center is only an internal reporting tool and not sure, why you want delivery split to happen based on this which is not a Best Practice. Did you discuss with your client and explained this? Did you discuss with your FI team who can share more details? While through standard configuration, this is not possible, you can try with USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIPS

Thank you for the reply, Yes we discussed with FI team.and No issue. The issue is, we have applied validations at the time of Invoice creation to not create invoice if more than one profit center exist in delivery document.

Some times, use creates delivery with two profit centers -> do PGI -> try to create Invoice (system stops to create invoice due to two profit centers), due to this, user has to do reverse of Goods issue and create two deliveries for each profit centers. and makes two separate invoices.

To Stop this, I want to split delivery at the time of delivery creation based on profit centers to eliminating the existing lengthy process..

      Regards,

You still have not given proper business justification as to why the delivery split is required. If I assumption is correct, it is required only for some internal reporting purpose and there are standard transaction codes available which you can make use of it before going for any customization.
