CE 7.30: Tasks get suspended after escalation (Completion deadline)


we've have a strange behavior that I haven't discovered before:

When a completion deadline exceeds, the task gets suspended (with lifecycle status canceled) and a new task is created.

As far as I know this wasn't the case before, the task always remained with status 'Ready'.

What can be the reason for that?

In BPM the affected task raises a critical exception.

Does that have the effect that the task gets suspended?

    Hi Eddie,

    the important information is that the task has been canceled. This is a final state regardless if it is suspended or not. However, the behaviour is according to the documenation:

    You should check if non-critical exceptions are doing the job in your case.
