BlackBerry 9800 simulator is working again on new snapshot

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we found the problem with the BlackBerry Simulator on the 30 day trial version of the SUP Images on Cloudshare. Turns out that for whatever reason the MDS (Mail Simulator) for BlackBerry thought it could go into retirement and refused to work. All convincing that he has not yet reached the time for retirement was unsuccessful and we had to let him go. We have now employed his never version sibling on a new snapshot inside Cloudshare. Next time you log on to Cloudshare you are notified about the new snapshot being available and you can choose to revert to it. Please keep in mind if you do so that you will lose all personal projects and things that you have created in the meantime. Make sure that you have a save backup of this somewhere before doing so.

Best

Ingo

    Hi Ingo,

My 30 day cloudshare trial started on Aug 21 and I couldn't get the tutorial's CustList app to work on Blackberry. I didn't see a notification about a new snapshot? So I just need to manually go into Actions > Revert, correct?

    Thanks

    Clint

      Hi Clint,

thanks for the Info. If you say you had the problem again and you made it work then my next assumption is that there is something going on during the cloing process that makes the thing not work correctly. It would also not cross my mind to reboot the machine. Thanks for pointing this out. Funny enough it worked for quite a while before this started to happen with the images.

For now let's reboot the machines. I will check if I can find something that makes this work again without reboot.

      Best
