Excluding solman users from Security audit log (SM19)

Hi All,

Our security audit logs have grown considerably after connecting systems with solution manager. Data from audit logs is fed to BI system and  growth has accelerated there too. We would like exclude specific user/users from  SM19 but this option doesn't exist. Only option seems to be select * or list of users.

we have coupe of thousand users and users change quite often.

Any suggestions on how to exclude specific user/users from  SM19 ??

Hello,

this topic was discussed here:http://scn.sap.com/thread/1880405

but I've found a note that you might want to check: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/574914

Check also here: Note 539404 - FAQ: Answers to questions about the Security Audit Log

Hi Diego,

I have seen those but they are opposite of what i am trying to do. I want to choose audit logging for all users except solman users.

thanks,

Hi,

as you know the security audit is implemented in kernel. SM19 just gives you an interface to configure it. This interface is simple and it does not allow more complex filtering options. So there is no way how to fulfill your requirement.

I am really surprised that you are concerned about size of logfile. Nowadays when some companies process petabytes of data on daily basis it can't be that much. I understand that enterprise storage is really expensive.

Cheers
