Which is better to use SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE or CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE=> Create Directory: Creating folder in Remote server?

Hi all,

Which is better to use SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE or CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE=> Create Directory: Creating folder in Remote server?

Even i have used both command.

1 . SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE

2 . CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE=> Create Directory

SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE :

I have created command in SM69 ( our network admin created share folder in Application server) means they has crated folder Short cut in Application server ( D:\SAP\Share).

i have mapped that folder in AL11, for this i have created command in SM69.

i used FM: SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE for creating folder.

2 . CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE=> Create Directory

I have call this Method in abap program, and i passed the ip address of share folder ( folder: \\10.10.1.215\SAP\Share)

I have used both 1st and 2nd method i can able to create a folder in remote server,

I want to know which method is best ?

Regards,

Akshath/Ali

    SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE execution starts from application server while CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE starts from works station (PC) so wont work in background. Also directory will be created by a generic user id , while GUI tools will use your personnal id.

    Did you also try FTP commands (FM FTP_COMMAND) ?
