Hi, all.
May I know the difference between team leader and normal team member when assigning security settings to teams in bpc 75 ?
Thanks,
Eddy
Hi,
Assigning a team leader is useful when you want to give one person from the team special access
rights, for example, the rights to save templates to the team folder. A team leader that has
ManageTemplate privileges can save templates to their respective team folder.Team members can
not do the same.
Hope it helps...

Raju

Hi, Raju.
Thanks for your reply.
I read this statement in the security guide as well. In fact user id which is not team leader can also save templates, conversion files and transformation files to the team folder.....Therefore, I don't really know the purpose of having a team leader.

Eddy
Hi Eddy,
The only thing to consider here is that the team leader automatically gets the "Manage Template" task assigned to his user id. So, he can save objects to his "Team" folder without having you to give his ID any privileges. Meanwhile, any other user, you will have to specifically assign the task to their ID.
Generally, task profiles are configured to have "Manage Template" added as a task to them, so you obviously can't make out any difference between a user and a leader.
Hope it helps!!
Hi, Ashish.
Thanks so much for your reply.
However, I have the following findings:
1. When I remove the Manage Template from the task profile, either team leader or team members cannot save templates to the server.
2. When I remove the TeamLeadAdmin from the task profile, either team leader or team members cannot view or save conversion and transformation files from the team folder.
Is it the problem of my bpc only ?
Regards,
Eddy
