Forecast Based planning

Hi,

I am performing forecast based planning for a material. I run the forecast and then transfer them to demand mgmt. My forecast requirement for the 1st month is 55 and 2nd month is 55 and 3rd month is 55 . I have a available stock of 50. So according to the forecast based planning it should generate 3 purchase requistion of 5 qty for 1st month,55 qty for 2nd month, 55 for 3rd month but it is generating 5,55,110,110 what is the reason .please find below the screenshots

    Badari,

If you copy the forecast requirements to Demand Management, then you must deactivate the forecast afterward.

Most people who use forecast based planning do not transfer to DM.

    • hi,

It means that if we transfer forecast requirement to demand management does the system treats forecast requirement as seperate and requirement in demand management as independent requirement so is this the reason it it generating 4 purchase requistions.

      Regards

      Badri
