Hi,
The scenario is basically like this , There are 2 storage locations A and B in a plant. Storage Location B is under an MRP area , and has Project WBS requirements in that, There are reservations for the WBS created in storage location B, and when MRP is run in MRP area level it creates PR , when PR converted to PO , its a STO between locations with account assignment to Project.
Then the Outbound delivery is created for PO , in the PGI for OBD system fails and throws message "Message M7 076". special stock for material / wbs/ does not exist in sloc A.
Why system requires a special stock in A ?.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the note Jurgen,
I think this case works if its a plant to plant STO, but i am trying with a Sloc to Sloc within a same plant , so don't know if an unrestricted in one sloc can be transferred to proj stock in another Sloc.

Hi ,
The movt type used is 641 Q as its a delivery from a STO.
Actually there is no project stock in loc A , system should not check for a proj stock , but it does.

if you want move unrestricted stock to project stock within a STO, then have a look at OSS Note 305582 - Stock transport order "Free --> E/Q": What does not/does wor

I think it is for the same reason like explained in OSS note 30254 for physical inventory.

Hi Jurgen,
The scenario which I explained is not for physical inventory.
Transfer of unrestricted stock in one location to a project stock in another location , via stock transport order is the scenario.
And the Project (CJ20N -- Network order -- WBS based reservation)drives the STO --PR creation. which is converted to UB STO PO ( same plant - 2 different sloc).
Thanks

Hi Jurgen,
Tried with the note and built some initial stock in the WBS , and transferred it to some other location, and simulated the PO - delivery again, the error message is changed to another one . "
Message no. M7021".
But the content is the system checks the project stock in the issuing location , and fails. even though there is enough of stock in unrestricted.
Thanks
Karthi S
now you lost me.
you had project stock in storage location A and wanted to transport to B, and message M7076 said that you have no special stock in B.
In that case I expect that you create the special stock segment for B following the instruction given in the note.
But you said you "built some initial stock in the WBS , and transferred it to some other location".
Here I cant follow why you tried with "some other location"
M7021 checks your stock in source location, and this message is usually very right, you just have to read and understand any single character in the message as the whole M7021 message is dynamic, it has the full information with what values it searches for inventory. And when it shows up, then SAP had not found inventory with this combination.
Hi Jurgen,
There is no project stock in Location A , the scenario is to transfer unrestricted Stock in Sloc A to Project stock in Sloc B in the same plant.
Why i did the intial upload was to built some Project stock in A , and simulate the process, but the real time scenario will be to transfer the unres in A to Proj in B with STO , deliveries.
I know this process will be possible if its within 2 plants, but wanted to confirm if it can happen between 2 slocs in the standard SAP environment.
Thanks for your replies.
