SAP GUI 730 and Excel 2010 date issue

Hi

We are in the process of upgrading to Excel 2010 and SAP GUI 730, I am currently running some tests and have hit an issue.

When we look at a table in an ALV grid (eg se16n) and then click Excel Inplace if there are any date values it converts them into a number format rather date.

As an example 04.12.2008 displays as 39786 within excel.

I can run a macro to convert it put it doesn't make for a good user experience etc.

I have looked in the trust centre and enabled "trust access to the VBA project object model" but still no joy.

Our build is

Windows XP 32bit

Office 2010 32bit

SAP GUI 730

Any help would be appreciated.

How now resolved this by installing Service Pack 1 for Office 2010.

Hello Julian,

I tested this with Table MARA in SE16N and the date shows in the correct format with
SAPKB70211

Same with,

SAPKB46C64

What is the basis level you are testing with?
