Expousing portal server for Secure connection (https)

Hi,

I want to expose my Portal server to Internet and I want all communication made in secure way using https.

Is anyone has any idea how to go about converting server from http to https? any specific things need to be taken care while exposing server to internet.

Our portal version is EP6 Sp9 and we are using user mapping for SSO and all the communication is made using http wherever applicable.

Any help or pointer to any help would be appreciated.
