Warning message : Cost center locked for primary postings at this time

Hi,

We are with SRM 7.0, SP07, Classic scenario.

I am getting the following warning message when creating a shopping cart with one cost center which is blocked for postings in backend ECC.

I would like to make this as 'Error Message" from warning message in SRM system. How could i ?

Line 1: Cost coster  Cxxx/1XXXXXX locked for primary postings at this time

I am unable to even see the message number.

Hi Nag,

This message is from ECC system. Please try to create PO against the cost center you used in ECC system. You will also get the same warning message.

In Order to make that as Error message you have to do config change in ECC.

I am not sure, if this warning message comes from ECC. If so, where could i change that from warning to hard stop ?? Please advice.

Hi Nag,

The message you are getting in ECC Message number KI 170. You can customize this message through OBA5.

In OBA5, Enter the new value for Application area KI as follow. Just an FYI: please consult with your FI folks that having this message as Error will not impact any other FI business process.

If that would be the case then it will be advisable to do DOC_CHECK_BADI in SRM to throw Error message instead of warning message for KI 170.

if you want to remove the error , go to transaction KS02 -> enter controlling area -> enter cost center -> in the control tab -> remove (tick) ( checkbox) Actual primary costs
