Nakisa not displaying photographs on profile

We have some users who are not able to view their photographs in their profile in Nakisa. The users are able to view this when they login to a common terminal server however this is not visible when they login to their desktops which is in another windows domain. The above issue is for the production system.

This works for the Pre-production system.

I ran the function module HRWPC_EMPLOYEEPROFILE_45FF with PERNR 00100014 in the Production system

When I run this the output has the hostname (no FQDN). But what is interesting is that when I do a SICF for part of the path it resolves to the FQDN.

I ran the same function module in the Pre-production system and it returns the URI value has the FQDN of the domain.

Now I would like to know where this is being called from. I checked out the profiles and I could not trace it back to the profile parameters.

Any idea on where this is being called from?

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Although maybe not the exact same issue it might be useful to read through below link.

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3156677

There are also some notes under component PA-TM if you note search phrase 'photo'.

Another way is to run below method and check if a URL is returned.

CL_HRTMC_CP_BASIC_UTILITIES > GET_PICTURE_URLS

Hope this helps,

Hi Matthew

The issue was resolved and i forgot to update the message. The photos were visible when viewed by users in another domain. The cause for the issue was strange (the host file was not updated with the entry for the appropriate server)

Hi Ravi,

This issue seems completely unrelated to Nakisa because it is  the browser that renders the image, not Nakisa. I will move it to the SAP HCM Forum - please change the name of the post so it is more specific about the issue with Photo URI and FQDN names.

Best regards,

Luke
