Authorization error when deploying to the cloud

Maybe this is a RTFM issue however I am convinced it's not the case as I am sure I could deploy before.

Deploying the helloworld from eclipse I get the following , every time

*****

Problem while publishing.

Problem during deployment. Authorization error. Check whether the account name is spelled correctly and the provided user has rights to perform the current operation at the provided account.

Authorization error. Check whether the account name is spelled correctly and the provided user has rights to perform the current operation at the provided account.

******

I have followed the helloworld app guide

https://help.netweaver.ondemand.com/default.htm?creating_helloworld.html#concept_1C5950469DCE4E9CB86...

I have followed the deploy guide

https://help.netweaver.ondemand.com/default.htm?deploy_ide.html#concept_10CB6EE361554825A778B64F806C...

I have tried with my 'P' account both plain and appended "trial" (as shown in my account page https://account.nwtrial.ondemand.com/) but all attempts fail.

I have been able to download all the tools and updated from 1.3 to 1.7. I have tried to set it up on a windows laptop from scratch, and ended up with the same issue as on my Mac setup.

Any ideas welcome.

Also changing the subject but 90 days limit does mean that I wont be able to do much with this account but I do like all things PaaS and keen to get started! Before it all goes away

Thank you

Robert

Hi Robert,

Could attach the following:

  1. a screenshot of the wizard for creating new SAP NetWeaver Cloud server, displaying the fields "Account name" and "User name".
  2. a screenshot of the dialog displaying the error.
  3. The Error Log file of Eclipse. You can find it under <eclipse-workspace>/.metadata/.log.

Thanks,

Kaloyan

Hi Kaloyan,

many thanks for the reply.

3) not sure how to share the entire log file here, lots of these entries.

!MESSAGE Server [helloworld.rjruss at nwtrial.ondemand.com]  state is probably erroneous.

Code: 3

Message:Authorization error. Check whether the account name is spelled correctly and the provided user has rights to perform the current operation at the provided account.

Also I thought I would try and connect to the tools site and I am sure it stated (quick screenshot that I did not catch) I was not authorised however still installed the software.

And here is a screenshot of the click through agreement, that I must have selected a few times by now.

Cheers

Hi Robert,

Thank your for the comprehensive details.

It looks like you didn't give correct value for "Account name". This field refers to your account on SAP NetWeaver Cloud. For trial users the account name typically goes after the user name: the P-user with "trial" suffix. In your case this should be "p1248461150trial".

You can always check your account name by logging in the Accounts Page: https://account.nwtrial.ondemand.com/. Then look at the header right after your user name.

Greetings,

Kaloyan

Hi Kaloyan,

Thank you.

Obviously I was trying to be too clever for my own good. I thought by changing the account name I could change the URL and did not make the association to authenticate my account!

Cheers.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for sharing your expectations.

Changing the URL of deployed applications is currently not supported by the tools. This can be done only for productive applications by contacting our back-office.

We also do realize that there is a significant number of users who are confused by the current design of the deployment screens. We are currently in process of redesigning them for improved usability.

Greetings,

Kaloyan
