Hi all,
From all the documents I read, I should be able to find the dlls in C:\Program Files\SAP Business Objects\SAP Business Objects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x84\dotnet folder. However, there's no folder called "web services" under the dotnet folder. I could locate the dlls in their 64bit format on the server, but not under the win32 folder.
I also followed this article: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/How+to+Install+the+BI+Platform+4.0+.NET+SDK+on+a+Developme... and installed it on my development machine, but again there's no "web services" folder under my C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\dotnet
I'm at a lost here and would appreciate any help to solve this.
Many thanks,
Annie
Looking at the SDK install, there appear to be two install programs - one for 34-bit and one for 64-bit. You need to be sure to install the 32-bit version which is located under this path after unzipping the SDK install download:
\SBOP_BI_PLAT_4.0SP4_CLNT_WIN_32B_64B_\DATA_UNITS\BusinessobjectsRuntime\32bit

Thanks for getting back to me.
Hi Dell,
Yes I have, on my local machine I installed the 32-bit version and under the folder - C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\dotnet , there's an folder called iPoint and 3 dlls called CrystalDecisions.xxxx, but not the BusinessObjects.DSWS.dll I was looking for...
Bhushan,
I did a search on my local machine but BusinessObjects.DSWS.dll doesn't exist.
On the server, I could only locate the dlls in the win64 folder like I mentioned before...
I have them installed and have been actively working with the SDK for the last month or so. I installed FP3 first and then installed SP4, but I'm working with a client where I just installed SP4 - it does not have the web services SDK (DSWS files) but it does have the non-web service SDK files.
Can you download the FP3 install for the SDK to see whether that will get you what you're looking for? Otherwise I would open a support case on this.

Thanks Dell, as soon as your mentioned FP3 I went "arrrgh..... that must be why". The 32bit folder appeared on my machine after the latest client tools (with FP3) is installed.
However our server has not been updated to SP4 yet, could that be the reason why I can't even log on to the server using the SDK? Currently it's giving me Login error 99999... very frustrating.
dsws dlls should be here:
"C:\Program Files\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\".
a quick windows search for 'dsws' may give you the results.
- Bhushan.
