Report Painter - drilldown for a calculated row with subtraction

Hi everyone,

I have an issue regarding Report Painter that is driving me crazy... hopefully anyone can help...

The point is: I have desgined a Report Painter query with three rows (let's keep it simple), one of them is calculated as a formula: 'First row' - 'Second row' (yep, that's a minus sign). This report displays total amounts.

OK, now I have attached a drilldown report via the report/report interface, so the user can view the open items as a detail query.

Everything works fine when double-clicking a row which is simply a selection (let's say, for controlling area and cost element). It also works fine for rows which are adding calculations - the detail report simply sums up the open items.

But my issue is: when a row in the summary (first) report has a subtracting calculation, the detail report adds the values for both operands.

For example: a row has a formula which says 'cost elements 212 to 214' minus 'cost element 213'. Well the detail report shows open items for cost element 212 to 214, instead of showing only 212 and 214.

Okay the actual scenario is a little bit more complicated: I'm using sets and so on, but here are the basics.

I've searched the forums, because one approach could have been defining a set that excludes certain values, but this is not possible, as shown in https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/323995.

Any ideas?

Thanks very much in advance.

Kind regards,

Alvaro
