Hi Experts,
Can we restrict users on “BOM Usage”? Example: We like to allow CS02 to some users only but with BOM Usage = 5, sales only.
If yes how it can be done ?
If no then any alternative for the requirement to be fulfilled ?

Hi,
Thank you for all the replies.
As given above, I can maintain value for STLAN for the given object say for example usage 5.
But i have a query here, How that will be user specific. I want to allow it for certain users only.
In general, access to CS02 is not given to any of the users in my system but I want for usage 5 it has to be given for few users.

You need to work with your basis administrator regarding this issue. This authorization object is assigned to a role and that role is in turn assigned to users, so you need to change the allowed usages in the particular roles.
But remember if the authorization object is present in one than one role (for example, two roles) and both roles are assigned to a user and one of the role allows all the usage types then that user will have access to all usage types. So, in simple terms you need to restrict usage in all the roles in which this authorization is present.
Dear,
Authorizaton object C_STUE_BER, which you have to maintain for relevant role.
Please check with Basis consultant
First role
C_STUE_BER - ACTVT - 02
STLAN - 1,3,
STLTY - M
Second role
C_STUE_BER - ACTVT - 03
STLAN - 5
STLTY - M
These role can be assign to user and as STLAN = BOM usage it will allow to create and change BOM.

dear,
i believe the main solution has been already given above.
just some alternative ways... a custom t-code would be another approach (say, ZSC02)
anyway the next step for this way is to create a new Role and adjust relevant users in SU01...
regrads,

Dear,
The Authorization Object: C_STUE_BER
BOM Usage - STLAN
Generally it will be given as * Star
You can restrict the authorizations based on the Usage.
