Archiving job failing

Hi,

We have an issue wherein the archiving jobs fail with an "EXPORT_COMPRESS_ERROR" dump..

We have several huge messages in state 21 (which can't be deleted untill archived).

I've seen Note 820149 which describes ARCHIVE - PERSIST_ARCH_MANUAL_CHANGES for omiting archiving in non Prod systems.

However, it states that this parameter would only help for messages which are Canceled "after" setting this parameter.

Please advise..

This issue can be caused by the archiving of large XI messages. Decrease ARCHIVE-ROWS_PER_LOOP stepwise to 1, then increase the parameter JOB_LOG_LEVEL to 2 as per the note #1112253 'XI3.0/7.0x/7.1x: Troubleshooting during archiving'.

When the archiving job runs next the job log should reveal the message which is causing the issue. After this run the report RSXMB_SWITCH_ARCHIVE_VERSIONS for this message. You can also check the note #1352697 'XI3.0/PI7.0x/PI7.1x: Determining versions for archiving'.
