How to extract Texts from new InfoObjects

Former Member

Hi gurus!

For some of my reports, I've updated 0EMPLOYEE with new attributes, and created new InfoObjects. Everything is working fine and data from R3 is being extracted correctly... except texts!  Where texts should be, key are displayed instead, I mean, when I want to show key + text, I see now key + key.

I know it has something to do with texts tables, for example this one belonging to a new InfoObject I've created: /BIC/TZCPACUERP  , but I have no clue on how to include this table or what to do to visualize texts.

Has someone experienced the same issue? Any help?

Thanks a lot!

Alberto

which texts are not displaying? texts of employee or the texts of the newly created infoobjects?

you need to load the texts from the source system. for the 0employee you can use the standard extractor, but for Z infoobjects you need to create the text extractor your self ofcourse.

Hi M. Tibollo,

I talk about new infoobjects (and attributes). My colleague who's creating datasources in R3 said me that he's seen texts in datasource in R3, however I don't know which step to do to see them in BI.

Thanks!

you need specific texts extractors to load the texts. it might well be that your colleague sees texts in extractors, but then they will feed infoobjects values, not the texts...
