Hi all,
I'm trying to do automatic ABC analysis based on consumption for cycle counting using MIBC. My problem is we have a few materials that account for over 80% of the total consumption, but should not be included in a cycle count (fuel and gravel). Since ABC cannot be broken down by tenths of precentages, I cannot do an accurate analysis. Is there anyway to exclude specific materials from the analysis? I know this is possible with MC40, but I wish to select by Material Type as well, which MC40 cannot do.
Thanks!
Only materials with CC indicator in material master are considered in MIBC transaction

Thanks for your suggestion Shailesh. I had considered this as a last resort option, as I want users to be able to run the analysis wihtout adding each material (just under 2000 materials), even if it was generated some where else.
Thanks Jurgen as well. Your response gave me insight into how I was running the analysis. I am only in the exploritory stage, so my knowledge of MM is minimal. Currently, none of our materials are set with CC indicator, so I was checking the "All Materials Held in Stock" box. I'll be setting those up now. Is MM17 the best choice for this?
Thanks

Hi Derrick,
Instead of excluding specific materials in MC40, try to include all the materials by using 'Multiple Selection' tab, for which you want to perform ABC analysis.
