Dear all,
I have a problem with the delta process
I have created a generic Datasource based on a view to load the attribute email of the masterdata 0CUSTOMER
The IP has been created with a full update and the DTP with a delta update
I have changed the email of only one customer in ECC6
When I launch the process
- The IP upload 112439 record.
It’s normal because it’s a full process
- The DTP upload 112439 records instead of only one records (the only one changes).
Why the DTP upload 112439 records instead of only one?
How to load the only one that has been changed
Thanks for your help.
Céline
U need to maintain your datasource as capable of delta mechanism. And create delta IP.
Or
In the Ip dataselection screen u have to write the routine for deltas.(complicated)
Other way is have DSO inbetween target and PSA..

Hi
Even if you select Delta in DTP it will load full load only thats why load have same number of records of IP. DTP delta for IP full works as like if you have 3 req in PSA and 1 already get loaded and next time if you run DTP it will only load 2 req.

Hi,
As your infopackage is full upload, DTP will pick up that complete request even though there is only 1 record that got changed out of 112439 records.
DTP delta works based on request not the data.
Ex - Full upload scenario if IP is full upload
2 days ago full upload from IP. 1000 recs---DTP delta is 1000 records
Next day again full upload from IP 1100 recs- DTP delta is 1100 recs
Even though only 1 record is changed in ECC, next day full will be the same if no new records added .
Today again full upload from IP 1100 recs- DTP delta is 1100 recs
Ex Delta upload scenario if IP is delta update
Initial upload into PSA 1000 recs- DTP 1000 recs
NExt day delta into PSA - 5 recs- DTP 5 recs
Delta DTP works based on REQUESTS not based on data from Master data
thanks

Hi Celine,
If delta records needs to be transferred, the datasource has to be capable of doing that.
When you keep the infopackage as full, the delta dtp will trasnsfer entire request thats loaded into PSA.
To transfer delta records, you'll have to run delta infopackage.

Hi,
Even the DTP is delta, First time when you execute it will act as a Full data and further on it will take only as Delta changes.
