Hi Gurus,
I was confronted with a problem. I have a MTS production. In this particular case I am using a single-level BOM and I want that one of the components (Raw Material) to be consumed from 2 different lots according to a predefined proportion:
During the confirmation stage, the component must be displayed according with the percentages and all that the user has to do is to assign the lots that are meant to be consumed.
Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards.
Dear,
In BOM component one of the components (Raw Material) enter same component twice let say to manufacture header material X of 10 qty you requited Y 10 quantity. Then in BOM enter component Y twice first line qty 6.5 and second line Y as 3.5.
Now in routing to first operation A assign first component Y of qty 6.5and second operation B assign second Y component of qty 3.5.
Then in an order you will have two component and consumption in confirmation will be occurred accordingly.
Please try the same come back.

Hi
Maintain the raw material 2 times in the BOM and check as per the suggestion above.
Do the component allocation and find it in operations during confirmation.

Dear Nuno,
In my understanding if this component say raw material X is to be consumed 65% from lot A and 35
% from lot B means,this could be possible only in case if you mention the raw material twice as the
BOM item as Rupesh has mentioned,this can be met,otherwise in standard SAP this is not possible.
But generally such representation of assigning the same component/BOM item twice is used only if
the same component is to be assigned for 2 different operations in the routing.
Also in Standard SAP,there is no means of assigning the lot or say from which vendor this has been
received during consumption of goods.But indirectly using batch number this can be tracked.
Check and revert back.

During order creation, you should defined:
- lot A (65% e.g 65 EA) --> RAW material A
- lot B (35% e.g 35 EA) --> RAW material A
meaning you have 2 lines for raw material A in you production order with 2 lot number. So that during the picking and confirmation, you should be seeing the 2 lots.
cheers!
