User aliases add methods

Good morning everybody,

I woul like to know the differences between the add methods for the class UserAliases. In the documentation :

  • Add : Overloaded. Add a new alias by specifying alias name, id, and whether the alias will be disabled or enabled.
  • AddExisting : Overloaded. Add a new alias by specifying alias name, id, and whether the alias will be disabled or enabled.
  • AddNew : Overloaded. Add a new alias by specifying alias name and whether the alias will be disabled or enabled.

I try to add a alias with the common name of an AD user. Only the method Add and AddExisting works. Maybe the method check if this CN exist first and add it to the user aliases list? In this case, what is the differene between Add and AddExisting. The description is exactly the same.

Thanks
