Error while applying leave request from ESS portal

Hi SAP Gurus,

I am trying to apply for Comp Off leave through SAP Portal and getting error message saying

"

A critical error has occured. Processing of the service had to be terminated. Unsaved data has been lost.

Please contact your system administrator.

  Element PLVAR is not available in the container, error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE "

This error message is coming while Clicking on Next Button after providing leave type,Start and end date.

Although when applying for other absence types like Annual leave/Marital leave it works successfully and allow to apply for leave.

Hi,

I am also facing the same error.

unable to proceed further.

In my case as well, there are no dumps for the user in st22 and no workflow is triggering.

Please help on this.

Hello Loganthan,

Ask ur BASIS team to check RFC connection - There is an error with RFC-TO-Portal connection.

The parameter PLVAR determines for which plan version the value help should be displayed.  The container reference implies it is an error in initiating the workflow.

Have you gone to transaction SM22 and looked at the shortdump logs (or got your ABAP guys to have a look at it)?

Thanks for the input.

I have checked te ST22 dump. There is no dump coming. Also checked with Workflow consultant. As per him, no workflow is triggering. The dump is coming before it hits to workflow code.
