PRD SCC4 as non-modifiable , still system allows OKEQ and VKOA in edit mode

Dear Gurus

We moved our FI-CO organizational data in PRD and SCC4 client settings says, it is Production client, No changes allowed, Ecatt not allowed.

But now our team members checked that OKEQ and VKOA are opening in EDIT mode, while the same is opening in display mode in Quality system.

Please can you suggest what could the possibility for it.

I checked SE06 also and settings is exactly same as in Quality.

Check SE03 -> System Change Option -> Any make sure Software Components and Namespaces are set to Not modifiable

Thanks Juan , for quick reply.

I checked System change option, it is set to Modifiable.

But when I scroll dowm to other components I see few components are set as restricted modifiable ( SAP_HR, SAP_BASIS).

Is it recommended to set it is NON-modifiable ?

My concern is - same system change option in Quality also show as MODIFIABLE, but does not allow edit mode of VKOA and OKEQ. so why not the same should occur in PRD ?

In a productive system "System Change Option" should be set to non-modifiable as all changes should be imported via transports. This should disallow the edit mode in my opinion.

These transactions would be like OB52. Find the view/table behind these transactions. Then go to SOBJ. Input the table/view name and press display.Check if the check box "Current settings" is checked.

Why is it working in production and not nquality becuse client role in production would be Production.

Current settings work with that client role. However to make to make them work in test client check: OSS note 356483.

In general check OSS note 77430 also

Issue resolved .

Transaction OKEQ maintains viewcluster VERSION_A with those corresponding views

V_EVVS

Check with transaction SOBJ, if the flag 'Current Settings' is set for those objects or for the viecluster VERSION_A If the flag is set, you can maintain the data within a production system also, even if the system is closed for changes.

Regarding transaction VKOA check those objects within transaction SOBJ
VKOA
C001
C002
C003
C004
C005
...
Please note, that current settings are only working within client with role 'Production'. Therefore it is normal, that you observe another behaviour within your quality system.
