CR4E - Error when open a report with Web Viewer: CRSDK00002607 and CRWEB00000119

Hi Experts,

I have an issue with one of our Crystal reports. When I try to open the report in the CR4E (Designer), then all works fine. But if I try to open the report with the web viewer in the BI Launch Pad I get to following error message:

The viewer could not process an event. Verify Database Detected New Data Parameter [] added to datasource. [CRSDK00002607]

---- Error code:0 [CRWEB00000119]

What can I do to fix this issue?

Many thanks in advance...

Best Regards,

Alex

PS.: Right now we are using BOE BI4.0 SP4 Patch 1...

Hi Alex,

I am facing the same issue. For me:-

- I have only a couple of users to play with at the moment. One sees this error, the other doesn't

- They are both members of the Administrators group in BO, so that points to BW Authorisaitons

- But, if I log on to BEx Analyzer as the problem user they can refresh the query used by the CR without error

The BW roles membership of the 2 users is different though. My CR has prompts so, in Launchpad, I should see the variable entry screen but this error is thrown before that point. It's as if the user is missing some BW authorisations required to generate the variable entry screen but this doesn't feel entirely logical.

I think I am going to have to resort to pawing over the BW authorisations for the 2 users manually to try to find what is different. I take it there is no tool to do this? I am rather new to BW.

Hi Mike,

This sounds very similar to me - We have absolutely the same issue... 😉

We're trying to implement our first report in the new BI 4.0 world. So we have only 5 users who are working with our system. 4 users have no issues, but 1 user (also an Admin) can't open the report due to the mentioned error message...

Today, I'll try to upgrade to SP4 Patch 2. Maybe it will solve our issue...

Hi Alex,

I'm assuming that your datasource is BW but is that the case?

It's all BW here. We have investigated some more and have got to the point where user A and B have identical BO group membership and identical BW role membership but a report runs for user A while user B gets this error. If user B then edits the Crystal report in the CR designer he is prompted that a Verify Database is required. If he OK's this and then saves the report back into the repository, he can then view the report from Launchpad but user A gets the above error. User A can then edit the report in CR designer to reverse the situation and so on we can go round the loop.

We are at something of a loss to explain what could be producing this behaviour but racing against time as our planned go-live is only a matter of days away.

Best regards

Hi Mike,

Yes, our data source is also a BW query. We've created a common OLAP connection to our SAP BW 7.30. In CR4E we've used this connection to handle several BEx Queries...

I've tried to reproduce your "Switching Issue", but I can't commit this behaviour...

On our BOE test system, we're now on patch level 2 (BI 4 SP4 Patch 2). The first time I've tried to open the crystal, I got the error CRSDK00002607 for all users. After that, I've tried to open the report with CR4E. There I've clicked on "Edit DataSource" (Datenquellen bearbeiten...) and CR4E refreshed the DataSource. After saving the report, the behaviour is still the same: 4 users have no issue, but one user get still the error CRSDK00002607 in the BI Launchpad.

We've tried to edit the report in CR4E with the user who gets the error. But when we click on "Edit DataSource" the behaviour of CR4E is very strange: It opened a few authentification popups consecutive...

Hi @all,

It seams that this issue is a language dependent problem. I'll get the error message only if run the report under an other langage than the original language of this document...

In my case: The original language of my Crystals is German. If I open the document in the BI lauch Pad in German, I have no issues. If I open the document in the BI launch Pad in English I get the mentioned error message...

Best Regards,

Alex

There is something like a little work around: If you select the checkbox "save language" of your OLAP connection, you can open your Crystal also in different languages. Unfortunately, the content won't be adapted to your selected reporting language...

@Mike

Have you found a solution for your issue?

The issue is solved with SAP BIP 4.0 SP4...

FYI we started receiving this same error on CR Enterprise for BO4 (SP5) on top of SQL Stored Procedures as datasources. Turns out there was an issue with the capitalization of the prompts from what was in CR and what was in the SP code. CR11 was able to handle this but CRE could not. Updating the prompt text in the SP code to match what we had in the report fixed the problem. Just FYI for anyone seeing this that is not using SAP BW as a datasource.
