SOP Table Updation through VA02

Hi Gurus,

We have a SOP Table viz. S701, which is linked with transaction VA02.

There is a VOFN formula routine which is associated with this table.

When I execute the transaction VA02, and SAVE any changed line item, I am unable to trigger the VOFN formula routine in the update debugging mode. However I was surprised to find the same formula routine gets triggered for that same order, when I simulate it using MCVR transaction.

I am unable to understand why the routine does not get triggered when using VA02, although the SOP table S701, gets updated without the formula routine being triggered.

One more thing I would like to add, is that (according to my functional analyst) the SOP table is getting incorrectly updated, which is the reason why I am working on it.

The concept of SOP tables is very new to me. I shall be very grateful if somebody helps.
