Storage location for MRP Run

Dear Sir,

Our plant say 1101 consist of Two storage location 2001 and 2200. 2001 is for shop floor production while 2200 is for warehouse.

So 2001 location ask for components (materials) for packing from 2200 location by creating requisition through mb21, while 2200 location refer this requisition number and give the component to 2001 location.

Now what i want to understand is that, how MRP can automatically ask for requisition to 2200 location for shop floor peoples.

What would be the right process.

You can use the pick list in that case

Pick List CO27 by which you carry out Goods Issue for the required materials from Storage location by Production order wise , material wise etc.By pick list you generate reservation for the particular materials and then issue them against that reservation for shop floor manufacturing. In Case of Rem MF60 Pull list you can use for same.

Could you elaborate more on this part of your question?

MRP will not consider movements like 311 between storage locations with in the same plant for net calculations, unless at least one of the storage locations is separated by MRP area.

I don't want MRP to ignore the stock of both storage location. What i want is that the reservation which gets created after conversion of planned order to production order in 2001 location. Now how 2001 will ask for stock from 2200 location. in short I just want to understand after planned order to production order conversion. how shop floor can ask for component from 2200 location.

You'd have to use MF60, click on Production/process orders tab. Maintain Global Settings on the top of MF60 and put tick on all the check boxes applicable. Once you execute for the selection criteria you gave, you can just create a 311 easily on the output screen. Do some testing, you will understand.
