Limit for Query Filter in Query Panel

Hi

In web intelligence report, in Query Panel. i have  selected a dimension in query filter and select it as  prompt. So that it asks me to select values of that dimension when the query is run.

Now i select all the values when the prompt comes, when the report refreshes. But when the report is refreshed. In the report i see only some of the values which i have selected not all, for that dimension . And apart form this dimension i have not applied any other query filter.Any reason for this behaviour. Why i am not getitng all the values which i have selected and all the data related to them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

R u building the WEBi report on top of SAP BEx query?

If yes:

Check if you have any restriction done at the BEx query.

This might be the reason of not gettting the complete data.

Thanks,

Vinay

Hi Vinay and DSP

thanks for the responce. I am making my Webi report from a universe. And there is no self-restrictive join in the universe.

During report refresh when the prompt comes. I can see all the values to select from and I select all of them. But when i check my refreshed report only some values are there for that dimension.

I also tried by selecting some values and then increasing them,by doing multiple refresh. The values in my report also keep on increasing  But finally when i select all the values in the prompt. Again in my refreshed report  only 25 values come.  Is it some bug..?

Hi all,

this issue is resolved. this was happening due to partial results. Default limit was set in universe for no of rows.So i removed the default limit in the universe to get all the data.

Thanks all for your help.

hi all,

any idea on this..why the all values are not comming in reports and the data related to them, when all the values were selected in prompt.

Hi Ronny,

Try this formula,

. =If UserResponse ([Issues] ; "Select Study Country/Region(s) or # for all") ="#" Then "All Countries" Else UserResponse ([Issues] ; "Select Study Country/Region(s) or # for all")

It displays one country or many or # (all)values.

Hi Jaya

thanks for your reply.

i am not using any formula or variable .Just i select all the values when the  prompt comes, during report refresh, for the dimension, which is set in query filter. but in my report i dont get all the values which i have selected.

And also there is no other query filter, which might restrict the values selected.

thanks.

Hi Ronny,

Please check once in universe . in universe that particular object properties see is there any condition on that object or not. which means self restriction join or some other condition .
