Disable PO Release Strategy

Hi,

We are going to implement new PO release strategy for every plant. How can I handle existing release strategy i.e.; if there is any existing PO awaiting approval or partially released POs? What is the best solution for handling this situation? Can we disable existing release strategy but can release POs awaiting approval or partially approved POs.

Please provide me your suggestions.

Hi,

If your client wants NEW strategy for PO and you redesign it, then follow quick process.

Before changing existing release strategies, Make sure that all old PO should be released with old release value which is must. Have a cut-of date and finish the job 1st!

Now remove assignment of release class( if you designed a new release class) to release group and re-assign the new release class to your release group of PO.Go for designing of new release strategies with new release codes and  add new release values in classification segment.

Now create a new fresh PO and see how new release strategy triggers.

NOTE:

If new release strategies need to be transported to other client, just transport it and add new release value in classification segment in t.code; CL20N with release strategy,release group with release class.
