how to configure the data carrier with content server

Thanks for you valuable reply,

but there is five types of mention structure.

Define data carrier type "archive"

Define data carrier type "vault"

Define data carrier type "server, front end"

Define data carrier type "external DMS"

Define mount points / logical drive

So what type of structure we should be configure and what sub component need  to be define ?

and also suggest me how to configure the storage category (OACT)  ?

is there also need to configure of...

SCMSCA - Caches

SCMSHO - Host Name

OALO - Locations

pls help me...
