There is a problem to connect to repository: Repo connection failed

Hi,

we are trying to sign up a local repository in our production environment, and when we try to test the connection we get the following error:

"There is a problem to connect to repository: Repo connection failed". Moreover if we try to save the connection, we get an additional error: "Unable to connect to profiler server" (SAP NOTE 1719386 does not solve the problem).

Our environment is the following:

  • Distribute environment with 2 servers:
  • Database: Oracle 11G RAC (cluster of 4 nodes) with symbolic name like this: aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd
  • Server A: Redhat 5.8, SAP BO BI Platform 4.0 SP02 Patch 18 (All components), SAP BO DataServices SP02 Patch 5 (DataServicesManagementConsole, DataServices APSServices, DataDirect ODBC Drivers)
  • Server B:Redhat 5.8,SAP BO DataServices SP02 Patch 5, ETL Componentes (JobServer, DataDirect ODBC Drivers)

We did not have any problems with this in our development enviroment, so I think that the problem could be with Oracle RAC, but anyway

i have try to sign up the repository against 1 of the nodes of the RAC but the error log is the same.

In addition, we have test both options of signing up new repositories, according to SAP Note 1700129, but no one works.

Maybe the only thing that it's different between environments (development against production) it's the install order, could it be related? The order is the following:

Development:

  • SAP BO BI Platform 4.0 SP02
  • SAP BO DataServices 4.0 SP02
  • SAP BO BI Platform 4.0 SP02 Patch 18

Production:

  • SAP BO BI platform 4.0 SP02
  • SAP BO BI Platform 4.0 SP02 Patch 18
  • SAP BO DataServices 4.0 SP02

Any help will be appreciate

Thanks
