Merge Dimensions-SAP Business Objects WEBI 4.2

I am in the process of developing a WEBI report on SAP BO 4.2

Report consists of two BEx queries and I am trying to merge two attributes and not the direct dimensions itself. I came across few articles that the merge cannot be done on attributes but can be done only on dimensions, but my requirement doesn't work with the dimensions.

Can someone please suggest an alternative for this?

You can merge detail objects also.check if data type is same or not for both detail objects..

I could merge them, But I am not able to create a detail object using that merge dimension

Plz share the screenshot and explain in detail what is required

I have two queries.

Query1 : Calendar Day, User Name , User ID, Report Name

Query2 : User Number, User Text, Fund Center, Department

User ID(Query1) and User Number(Query 2) are on same type and are detail objects. I merged both of them(User-Merge).

My requirement is to get :

User Name | User_Merge | Fund Center | Department | Variable(Number of times the user executed the reports in a given date range)

Since I merged on the detail object, I am unable to create a variable(detail) and assocaite the variable to the merge dimension.

Understood..Drag additional Dimension objects which are associated with your User ID & Usernumber detail objects.

Merge dimeion object are then use merged one for detail variables.

I tried doing that,I tried to merge the Dimension object, but that doesnt allow me to merge.

The merge option is greyed out.

what is the datatype of both the dimension objects?

If it's same and objects are coming in Bold then drag first in the report and refresh again. After that you can merge the objects.
