How to identify the Info cubes which are not used anymore

Hi All,

In our system we have created a lot of shadow cubes whenever there is lot of historical data to be reloaded. So we have a scenario where there are lot of cubes which are not used anymore.

Is there any way to trace all the cubes which are active in the system, but not used any longer?

Thanks & Regards,

Suman Pitta

Hi Suman ,

All the Infocubes which are there in the process chains are getting loaded on daily basis and hence are very much required . Therefore you need to identify those cubes which are not part of the Process chains .

First of all you should get the list of all the info cubes with object version as 'A' in your system using the Table RSDCUBE .

There after you need to make use of the Table RSPCCHAIN .This Table consists of the following fields :

CHAIN_IDProcess Chain  : Put it as '*' .
OBJVERSObject version : as  'A' .
TYPEProcess Type : choose the option for the info cube .

By doing this you would get to know if this cube is part of the chain or not .

Check and updated accordingly later .

Hi Suman,

If you have created some temporary cubes and haven't done any dataloads, SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS is the report which gives all the active cubes in the system and their density in each layout.

You can find the cubes which has zero density in this program and can be decided for deletion.

With the help of BW stats reports  0TCT_MC11_Q0140, 0TCT_MC11_Q0240, find the latest data load and Usage and judge the list of cubes to be deleted.
