ESS error : When trying to update/edit EE's Address, and system is throwing error while reviewing it.

Hi SAP experts,

Your help on my issue will be highly appreciated !

When an EE is updating /edit his address, system is throwing error while reviewing.

Error : Data record XXXXXXXXXX     XXXXXXXXX  has grouping value "" instead of "08".

I have explored SDN's histroy and got many threads on it and tried all options but still error is there.

I did run report RPUFIXDS as well but no successful result.

Somewhere system is picking up space instead of grouping 08., I am not sure what and where to navigate,,,

SAP experts Kindly help me out with your suggestions please !

Hello

Kindly ensure in table T77S0 switch CCURE PC_UI is set to 'X'  as described in note 783499.

In case a customer uses ESS this switch must be set to 'X' in order to avoid the occurrence of message "data record has grouping value...".

The inconsistent data records can be corrected with RPUFIXDS, this is correct. And if you do not want to trigger retroactivity for these technical changes please ensure flag "Retroactive Accounting Active" is

set to SPACE on RPUFIXDS´s selection screen.

Also please carry out the steps as detailed in SAP note 1447867 which should help solve the issue.

I am not sure how to do '

flag "Retroactive Accounting Active" is 

set to SPACE on RPUFIXDS´s selection screen.

I have checked rectrocative accounting active... ( confused , how to set to SPACE)

ensure flag "Retroactive Accounting Active" is  set to SPACE on RPUFIXDS´s selection screen, means remove the tick on this item , and then execute the report

Yes ,the report needs to be run in live mode, to correct the inconsistencies.

Actually I was running report in Test mode only and hence I was not able to fix my issue..

Now its done !
