Project Tracking and Validation

Hello Gurus,

I have a requirement wherein I wanted to track progress of the project. Lets say civil work should be done for 500 sq m and out of which person has done lets say 400 sq m then how I will come to know that only 100 sq m is remaining. How to achieve this scenario ?

2nd thing is we have Business Area = Plant relation. So I have mapped a substitution wherein Plant code is replaced by Business Area upon saving. Similarly we have 3 profit centers under business area. Now user wants , Profit center from A business Area should not be allowed for a project WBS whose Business Area is B. In short profit center of different business area should not be allowed for different business Area. Please tell me how to write validation for this if possible.

You can have validation where pre-requisite like.. if BA=ABCD, then PROFIT CENTER=DEF OR XYZ and so on.

OR you can also create a sets for 'profit center' related to each 'business area' and refer the same in validation.

I talked to my ABAPer and he is saying that it will be achievable with user exit. So this problem is solved.

What @ Project progress ? Is there any way to find it out ?

You can try by making uoM for work center work as 'Sq meter'. Then you confirm actual work as 'Sq meter' as completed work and remaining work will also be shown in 'sq meter'.

Please check if it is possible.

Hi,

When you maitain 500 of work and UoM is Sq.M in internal actitivies, confirmations will let you know what is planned work = actual work and remaining work in CN47N.

Hope you must have tried what Mahendra had suggested to you already.

in case your ps structure having activity then you can execute report via tcode CNE0 to CNE5

but you have to maintain progress version for the same like plan vs actual and maintain parameter under controlling area progress version and plan version as well

EV basis- cost plan active project annual values

POC weighting- cost plan active project annual values'

this will update when activity will confirm partially and fully for the same maintain skf for POC

and have to maintain measurement method for measuring progress of project as actual=plan, estimation, milestone, cost proportional degree of processing from cnf etc
