Problems importing answer for certificate request (SSL Server)

Hello everyone,

we already have configured our SAP Web AS 620 for SSL (Server), which also works fine.

As we had to renew our SSL Server certificate (from THAWTE) we created a new certificate request and soon received the answer from the CA and additionally the CA's root certificate.

Unfortunately we had some problems when importing the answer and only by now we found out how to do this by the help of transaction STRUST (which is in our opinion a little bit confusing transaction).

The problem now is, that before we were able to import the new certificate (answer) a new certificate request had been created by mistake. So we are not able to import the certificate answer and get the error message with the error code TRUST037.

Our question now is:

is the signed certificate (which is the answer for our request created first time) still valid and is there a way to import the signed answer for the certificate?

Or is the signed certificate now worthless because of the new created certifcate request and so we have to create a new request and let this sign again by the CA?

Please let me know as soon as possible!

Thank you in advance!

Michael
