Close Production Order

Hi ,

We are trying to change Material Type for a Material(non valuated material) and we are getting error as Production Order exists.

This Order is with status "TECO DLV PRC BASC BCRQ GMPS MACM OPGN" ,we thought settlement is pending for this Order but when we checked with FICO team they said they dont settle the orders for a non valuated material.

Please advise how to close this Production Order so that we can change the Material Type

Thanks

Krishna

    Dear,

Production orders must be archived completely before you can change the material type. Archive all production orders for which the material is used. Then, you can change the material type.

Check with FI person what is issue with settlement without settlement you can not archive all production orders also.

Another option is active the deletion flag for this material and create new material with required material type.

    Hi Krishna,

Can you check setting the Deletion flag & Archive the Production order?

Anyways, can you check the SAP notes 914636, 160970?

    Regards,

    Senthil

Before the material type is changed system check entries in transactional data tables like purchase order tables, production order tables (AFPO-MATNR, CAUFV-PLNBEZ etc) if it finds even a single entry you cannot do material type change. Which means that you need to remove all traces of the material from all the transaction database which is usually done by archiving.
