What is part of DATA package standard dimension of infocube

What is part of DATA package standard dimension of infocube, i have build few info cubes but never got a chance to see what gets into datapackage dimension.

what is teh use of this data package dimension.

The other two standrad time and units dimension i can see all time related charecteristics and keyfigures getting into time and units dimensions.

    Hi

    Dimension - Datapackage contains the technical details of the cube. The request IDs which are part of the cube will be displayed.

    You can use the Request ID as a selection parameter in the BEX query though it is rarely used. This will display the data present in that particular request.

    In case of Multiproviders, there is characteristic 'InfoProvider' involved in the Datapackage dimension. Using this you can request your query to display the values of only a particular cube or DSO.
