How the dependent operation is scheduled after manual scheduling in ds board

Former Member

Hi,

We have operation A and resource X and operation B having resource B.

Now user is scheduling the order manually in the ds board for the resource A. After rescheduling the operation A the operation B for same order is not getting rescheduled.

So may I know what setting can be done to do this to move the operation B after rescheduling of operation(i.e activity).

Hi Sunil,

please do the following:

Procedure

  1. In the APO
    DS Planning Board
screen, call up the strategy profile by choosing Settings -> DS Strategy from the menu bar or press button DS Strategy....
  2. Go to the Strategy Parameters f. Dependent Objects tab page.
In the Time Relationships screen area, make the following settings:
    Field
    Order-int. Rel.
    Entry
    Always Consider
  3. Choose Continue.
  4. Reschedule again.

This is the Use of the setting:

Always Consider Relationships Between Operations

Use

If you choose this option the system has to take the time relationships into
account between the operations of an order when planning. That is, the system
has to carry out the (re)scheduling of an operation so that the minimum
intervals
or maximum
intervals
are adhered to:

  • If the operation has a relationship to an unfixed operation the system must
    schedule
    or reschedule
this dependent operation. For an unfixed planned operation the system has to adjust
    the deadlines and modes.

  • A fixed dependent operation defines a set reference date for the minimum or
maximum intervals that restrict the (re)scheduling of an order.

  • If the (re)scheduling of an operation and any suboperations is not possible
(for example, because the resources are booked), the system will not carry out
    (re)scheduling.

The answer of Claire is not correct.

Hi,

In the strategy profile go to the 'Strategy Parameters for Dependent Objects'. Here check the parameter 'Retain Current Modes'.
