web service time out on GetDocumentInformation actualization if more than 1 minute

hi,

setting up an asp.net app, which actualizes and retrieves BO reports, on a BOXI 3.1 SP1, everything works fine if the actualization of the report does not need longer than 1 min.

If the actualization needs more than 1 minute, following error info is being shown: : GetDocumentInformation exception (Error: WRE 99999) / The operation has timed out

I've set up the D:\Business Objects\Tomcat55\conf\web.xml and in the app folder

\Business Objects\Tomcat55\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\conf\axis2.xml all timeout parameters high, but it does not make any difference

in the asp.net vb-code, I've used the following timeout info for the connection:

bipService = New BIPlatform(boConnection, wSession.ConnectionState)

bipService.Connection.TimeOut = 600000

boConnection.URL = WS_URL_REPORTENGINE

boConnection.TimeOut = 600000

boRepEng = New ReportEngine(boConnection, wSession.ConnectionState)

boRepEng.Connection.TimeOut = 600000

On the asp.net app and in the IIS all the timeouts are set to 30 mins.

Any help would be appreciated ;-)

    Enter the string 'timeout crystal net" in the search box in the top right corner of this web page. That will get you half dozen + KBases that may help. The search will also bring up blogs, forum threads and other sources of info that may help.

      hi Ludek,

      the problem was boConnection.TimeOut = 600000. This one gives the refresh time out.

      I did not put it correctly.

      Now everything is fine

      Thanks for your help ;-)

      Cheers
