Different view in Production Order

Hi PP Consultant,

I want to ask why in Production Order with different order type can have different fields and tab in its screen view?

In OPL8 setting for order type P-01 => Production order can't generated operation

and for order type : P-1M, => Production order can generated operation

whether differences in this setting gives?

Look at the System status for the screen on the right it says OPGN (Operation generated)

Which means it generated operation automatically, the material may not a have routing. It generates the operation from the values you maintained per order type in IMG transaction OPJG, Now in IMG transaction code OPL8 for the order type ( P-0) they might have maintained the value 3. ( or 2), the during creation of production order if it doesn't find a suitable routing it will just generate an operation, that may be the reason the screens are different.

Compare both order types (P-1 and P-0) for the setting maintained mentioned above, you will understand why the screens are different.

Also, check if SFAW t code. It can give you some insight.

Technically, you can modify the screen fields if you know the module pool associated with it.

Hi

You can do screen control for production order against order type in transaction OPM2.

See below screen.

It is a configuration setting and based on these setting the screens can be varied.
