Connection to backend system failed. LSO Publish Course

Hi all. When I try publish course in Publish Course Cointent windows, I see in the Content Management this error:

Connection to backend system failed.

So, I go to traces and logs in portal administration and found several messages:

no connection to backend system com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.security.login.LoginException: failed to perform login

com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.security.login.LoginException: failed to perform login

at com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.security.login.r3.R3LoginContext.<init>(R3LoginContext.java:63).

And another message:

Could not login to backen. processId = 2F748977155504A0;
com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.security.login.LoginException: failed to perform login

And final:

connectSession failed SESS_null#null#null#0null host= null, sysnr=null, client= null, username=null, password=xxxxx, language=null, poolSharing=true, MaxConnections=50, AbapDebug=false com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: No RFC authorization for function module RFCPING.

So, I tested RFC connection LSO_RAPID_PUBLISHING in sm59. Connection is OK. Logical ports (LSO_RAPID_CONTENT_PUB) activated for proxies:

CO_LSO_CPT_PUBLISHER_SERVICE

CO_LSO_CPT_REPOSITORY_SERVICE

In call parameters:

http address set: LSO_RAPID_PUBLISHING

suffix: /LSORepositoryService/Config?style=document

What's wrong?

Hi Vladimir,

Did you manage to find a solution for this error?

Thanks in advance!

Vladimir's problem was that the user didn't have the proper authorizations in the backend system.

See the attached link on how to create the RFC and the logical ports. I was able to setup the publishing by following the documentation. Have you setup SSO between the portal and the backend? What releases are you on?

Yes, of course. Logical ports and RFC destinations exists. Ping are OK between systems. I found similar thread with that problem.

System is ECC 6.0 EHP 6 (LSOFE 606)

NW portal - 7.3v

LSOCP - 634v

Hello Vladimir,

Where did you create the RFC that the logical port is pointing to?

Yes, two logical ports pointing to LSO_RAPID_PUBLISHING.
