NWDI - unable to define dependencies for J2EE DC's

Dear Experts,

We are working on a project based on the NWDI frame work. There is a requirement, where the JEE components will call/use the Business Rule framework

So, we have Development Component(s) for the J2EE development (J2EE / EJB Module ) to be more specific.

While trying to define dependencies on other Development components of SWCV 'BRMS-FACADE', the options under 'Dependencies Details' is blank, i.e., the check box for Design Time, Deploy Time and Run Time are missing along with their respective descriptions. In fact, we are not able to define any sort of dependencies for the J2EE DC’s (Be it of type EJB Module or Web Module).Please see the attachment "no dependencies shown".

On the contrary, we are able to define dependencies for other type of DC's like Process Composer. Please see the attachment "dependencies shown".

Could you please suggest, where we are going wrong?

Hello Ashwin,

Could you please check if you have the SCA(BRMSFACADE) in your Transport Directory(+CMS/inbox) mentioned in CMS --> Domain Data. If not, please add the sca.

While if the SCA is present in the Transport Directory, please check-in the SCA in the Transport Studio and then proceed to Import in the Development tab. This should replicate Design Time, Deploy Time and Run Time, please let me know the further process.

Next to the Jun's answer...

1. You need to make sure you have defined all the required SCs dependencies as per your type of project development. Here are some notes that might guide you:

1080927 - Creating CMS Tracks for Common Application Types (7.0x)

1465468 Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.1 Track

1463541 Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.2 Track

1457908 Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.3 Track

1572743 Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in 7.31 Track and 7.40 Track

2313256 - Required SCs for Specific Type of Development in SAP NetWeaver 7.5

2. After the correct definition in the SLD you have to make an update in the CMS (CMS-Landscape Configuration-(change mode)-Update CMS)

3. If everything is fine you need to make sure all the SCs are imported successfully in CMS - Transport Studio - Development.

4. Only when 1-3 is implemented you might proceed with import into NWDS and further to define connections between the DCs.

I have already defined SC dependency in sld and its working as I can create the project of same type (J2EE). As mentioned above I am not able to see any options Design Time, Deploy Time and Run Time for the SC while assigning dependencies for the BRM DC,we are able to define dependencies for other type of DC's like Process Composer.
