Solman upgrade - Error during RUN_SCS_SAPCPE_DEPL phase

Hi experts,

During the upgrade of SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 to 7.1 an error has occurred during the execution of the

RUN_SCS_SAPCPE_DEPL phase, in DOWNTIME step.

We were not able to find any helpful document on the SAP MarketPlace... someone can help us to solve this issue?

It looks like you have created link between /usr/sap/PSM/SYS/exe/run and /usr/sap/PSM/SCS00/exe. As a result source and target directories are same. Remove the link and repeat the phase.

Hello Sunny,

we are applying Netweaver 7.3 patches through SUM 1.0 SPS12, and encountered an error during phase downtime phase "MAIN_PROFSTART/SUBMOD_INSTNR_CHG/MOD_INSTNR_PRE!", I found the issue and I tried to update the shadow system instance profile, but when I repeat the phase the values are lost and old values are taking effect. can you tell from where SUM is reading the old profile? and how do I change it.
