BOBJ - SAP ECC Connection

Hello Experts,

I am a beginner in BOBJ. Could you please let me know the detail steps to be followed to connect to SAP ECC through IDT (Universe) or Crystal 4.0

Hi Kumar,

The SAP Ecc datasource cannot be used via Crystal Reports for Enterprise , but as Venkat had suggested you can use Crystal Reports 2011 designer to report of SAP Ecc datasource.

Crystal Reports designer provide SAP Table, Function and Cluster, SAP Infoset, SAP Operational Data Store and SAP BW MDX Query driver to connect to SAP Backend dataware house.

One more thing to add in this is the correct version of transport should be loaded for Crystal Reports to work effectively. As moving forward with BO 4.0 and CR 2011 there no need to install integration kit. SAP Toolbar is already integrated with the installer, so you just have to import the correct version of transports.

You can find these transport file in the installer itself. You can refer transports_en.txt file to know which version of tranport needs to be loaded.

Hi

In order to connect from universe, you need to have the DataWarehouse...

However, you can directly connect to ECC R3 system from Crystal. 

for that you need to import 6 requests into the SAP system.
