Hi,

  we have created more production order last eight month. now i need to close all prodcution order because end user did not plan the qty properly in the production order. they plan much more qty in every production order. so how do i close? because every production order showing more variance so this variance account will affect the P & L. so kindly give any proper solution i need to close more variance production order.

Hi Ramesh........

You may use DTW to bulk close Production Order.

And as Production order is already half executed and there is no other alternative from saving this.

This will definitely create the Variance.

But you can then adjust the variance by manual Journal Entries.........

But in Logical Manner...........

ok manually i create JE entry ? suppose i will close QTY will affect or not because some production order i ssue the raw material fully and partially ? some production order raise the receipt from production is fully and partially? which account i want to map in manual JE pls give some example?

Hi Ramesh........

You may keep on reconciling inventories may be once in a month or every weekly to keep the control on Inventories.

Because you already executed production orders. And if you want to make its proper Inventory effect also then you have to make reverse production orders and make the effect reverse.......

Hi Ramesh,

If there is variance in the production order you want to close, the variance will be posted as follows:

Debit Variance

Credit WIP

if the variance is higher than actual product, you can adjust it by using good issue or you close the production order and then cancel it by  using diassembly production order.

HI Ramesh,

In Simple Way by the Open List Item Report In the sales Report, Check the Production order.

All production order will be listed select all and right click and cancel.

suppose i cancel the production order . it will affect the journal entry value(WIP inventory account or wip variance account) . in future any possibilty to showing more value in P&L?

Yes, it will affect the Journal. But you can adjust through the Manual Journal
