To delete a work item id whose workflow has gone to error state

Hi,

     We are facing a issue such as ,a employee has done leaving and the leaving action has been done(where all the infotypes have been delimited correctly for the employee) but the required workflow has gone to error state stating(Infotype 2006 not updated correctly),when we checked that time there was server problem which ever manager has done the leaving action it is has gone to error state stating the same error. Now the manager is asking to delete this record from the portal, as no action is pending from his side.

Is there any possibilities to delete the error work item id? If we delete the error work item id will it reflect in portal?

If any you have any idea or have come across this ,kindly help us in this.

As we have used to delete only completed work item id through SWWL.

Do not use SWWL in a Production system.

Hi Priya,

You can also just choose the workflow instance from the technical log (my preferred view), drill down, and select edit> change, and then push the 'Logically Delete' button. 

And yes, once the workflow instance is deleted, it will not show up in the manager's inbox.

hi,

You can try SWWL  for deleting workitem with ERROR status as well. Give appropriate input parameters in SWWL for choosing the particlar workitem and excecute .your workitem will get deleted.
