Shared Element 'Save As' Option Grayed Out After Document Save

Hi,

on the archive, we have this topic :

https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3963183 , posted by mgrackin on 29-09-2016. Does somebody know how to solve this ? I tried to find in the manuals, on SAP-Notes, on SCN. But the only thing I found is the above topic in the archive.

Thanks !

You may try to grant "Query script-Enable viewing" and "Query script - enable editing" in Application->Web Intelligence to this user.

I'm a bit late to seeing this question but there are a few places where rights to Shared Elements needs to be granted. I experienced this issue when missing #2 below on the document from which I wanted to create a Shared Element.

    1) Content > SharedElement > Add Objects to Folder

    2) Content > Web Intelligence > Publish Shared Elements

    3) Application > Web Intelligence > Sharing: Publish Shared Elements

    4) Application > Web Intelligence > Sharing: Insert Shared Elements

Hi. Has anyone identified the configuration for 4.2 SP4? #2 Content> Web Intelligence>Publish Elements is not available. The new Rights under Content>SharedElement did not resolve the Shared Element Save As greyed out after a document save.

#2 Content> Web Intelligence>Publish Elements is missing after upgrade to 4.2 SP4. See note 2538552:

    We saw that the right

Content > Web Intelligence > Publish Shared Elements

is completely missing in BIP 4.2 SP3 P12 - it was there in P8. In our environment not even the Administrator is able to publish a shared element after a report has been saved in any folder due to the fact that the right is not available in the system but obviously checked by WebI :)

There is a note for this issue with the fix versions as well...
