SAP Performance Management System- Bell Curve

Hello experts,

I have a query on SAP PMS.  One of the clients is looking for Bell curve functionality as part of the Performance Management Process.

Is there any standard functionality available for Bell Curve ?

Hi Abhay,

In flexible PMS, there is no standard bell curve functionality available. However, if you're looking for calibration then in EHP6 its possible to calibrate assessments made by multiple managers using the flexible PMS.

May i request you to share how exactly is Calibration Process / Grid different from Bell Curve functionality.

Do we need to buy Talent Management Suite as a pre-requisite for Calibration functionality in EHP6.

Hi Abhay,

There is no difference between the calibration/grid from the bell curve functionality.For example: In PMP, the calibration grid has a grey shading ( goal distribution) in the background which represents the curve. However, one of my clients wanted an actual bell curve to be displayed after the calibration .I thought you were referring to this.

Prior to EHP6, it wasn't possible to calibrate assessments in flexible PMS. To know more about the calibration process in EHP6 please refer to the help document and select "Calibration Process for Employee Assessments" :

The calibration is done during the Talent review meetings. I am not sure if there is any licensing cost involved for the talent management suite.
